This is the first of what will hopefully become a long term,permanent green school committee blog. Basically we just want to let you know what's going on in gsc and if there's anything coming up we would like everyone to be involved in.

Right now we're at a critical stage of our 'green flag journey' and we need your help with one of the seven steps: The Green Code. This is a statement of the school’s commitment to environmental good habits. It can take any form, a song, poem, slogan, picture, whatever you like. Just create something that will clearly show anyone what Muckross is about when it comes to the environment. The closing date is Friday April 8th; drop entries into the box by the green committee's notice board, (that's on the ground floor in the middle stairway in case you were wondering). This is a competition open to ALL years. The winning code creator will receive a HUGE chocolate egg and their code will appear in next year's school journal. There are also smaller chocolate eggs for commended entries too. So get writing or drawing and remember to get those green codes in by 8th April.
